How you bill for NEXPLANON depends on the patient’s coverage.

When NEXPLANON is covered as a medical benefit your office will:

• Buy NEXPLANON directly from the specialty distributor.
• Bill the patient’s insurance carrier for NEXPLANON and the insertion procedure.

If NEXPLANON is covered as a pharmacy benefit:

• The specialty distributor bills the patient's insurance carrier for NEXPLANON.
• Your office bills the patient’s insurance carrier for related procedures and services.
